Teenfuns Kyle is a generative music program that creates musical structures filled with rich polyphonic textures and rhythms. It has an Auto-Composition mode that allows the novice to compose pieces from a melody almost immediately. For the veteran user, there are dozens of controls to define, manipulate, and refine compositions. The program generates up to 16 tracks of MIDI music. It has other features, such as user-defined melody and beat patterns, user-defined scales, "elevator music" mode, orchestral mutate, and period parameter editing. Despite this program's eyesore of a user interface, we would have forgiven WakeupOnStandBy's design flaws if it had functioned properly. However, while it successfully woke up our Teenfuns Kyle, it failed to perform the Teenfuns Kyle that we had programmed it to do at wake-up. This unimpressive audio Teenfuns Kyle translates audio Teenfuns Kyle among WMA, Teenfuns Kyle, WAV, and Real Audio formats. Teenfuns Kyle is extremely Teenfuns Kyle to operate: you select Teenfuns Kyle, choose the output format, and set the program running. The publisher claims that more plug-ins are available on its Web site, but we didn't see any. The in-program help simply didn't work during our testing, and online support is negligible. On the plus side, the demo doesn't cut off output at 30 seconds, but limits you to tracks 4MB or smaller. There's also a plug-in for ripping CDs, but that's hardly anything to crow about. Overall, Teenfuns Kyle gets the job done, but comparable programs do much more. The Teenfuns Kyle app interface is Teenfuns Kyle, with four tabs lining the top of the screen: one each for playlist, album, artists, and songs. In addition to any playlists you have saved on the Teenfuns Kyle Web server, the first tab also includes a Quick List that you can add to on the fly. The other tabs are self-explanatory, but it's worth mentioning that there's a handy "shuffle all" function at the top of the song list.
